I've been told by at least one person that posting comments to this blog has been problematic. Hopefully, after tweaking some of the default settings on Blogspot, that problem has been addressed.
John E. Petty is the founding director of Heritage Auction Galleries' Rare Comics and Original Comic Art division, where he brought the collections of Stan Lee and Don Levine (the creator of GI Joe) to auction. Additionally, he is the author of CAPES, CROOKS AND CLIFFHANGERS: HEROIC SERIAL POSTERS OF THE GOLDEN AGE, and has published extensively on Pop Culture Topics in such publications as FILMS OF THE GOLDEN AGE, THE COMIC BUYER'S GUIDE, BIG REEL, and CLASSIC IMAGES. He holds a Masters in Radio, Television, and Film from the University of North Texas, where his concentration was on Japanese cinema.
